We just did our first family photo session since becoming a family of four. You wouldn't be able to tell by the beautiful pictures but man was that a little stressful for me! There is a lot that goes into the perfect family portrait.

What you don't see behind these pictures is the 3 hours it took me going back and forth to figure out matching outfits for my family (which is something I'm not the greatest at). You don't see me freaking out because our 18 month old is a slobbery mess and getting drool all over his shirt because he is teething. You don't see me rushing around getting everyone ready and out the door in time. You don't see me yelling at my husband to help get the kids ready. You don't see the ridiculous faces and jingling of keys in the background of these photos to get the kids smiling or at least looking at the camera.

What you do see is a beautiful family. A mom who wants to remember these precious days. A Dad who loves his wife and kids more than anything. The love these kids have for their mommy. The love these kids have for their daddy and each other. And that folks is what makes all the stress worth it to me.
I asked the photographer for a few out takes of the not so "perfect" pictures. I think they might be better than the perfect ones! Check us out!
