Chilly weather is here in Pennsylvania. That means this easy-peasy dump chili will be made weekly in my home. I love this recipe because there's no measuring or dirtying of tons of pots and pans! It's also my go-to when I'm hosting a get together because it's so easy to double or even triple for your crockpot! Even my kids gobble this up without argument! I'm forever grateful to my friend, LC, for giving me this recipe.
What you will need:
1 to 2 pounds of ground meat of your choice (we always use ground turkey)
1 to 2 tablespoons of cumin (I eyeball it... I don't want to dirty a measuring spoon)
1 can of red kidney beans
1 can of black beans
1 jar of salsa
1 large can of diced or crushed tomatoes (I use crushed because my kids try to avoid tomato "chunks")
1 pot (yes really!)
Steps:
Brown meat in pot over medium-high heat. Add the cumin as you brown. Strain and put meat back in the pot.
Strain and rinse both the kidney and black beans.
Add beans, salsa, and tomatoes to the pot and give a stir.
Heat and stir regularly (about 10 minutes).
SERVE!

Tips:
-Let chili simmer for about 20 minutes for great combined flavors.
-After you brown the meat, add all ingredients to the crockpot and heat on low for 4-6 hours. I have this one and LOVE how easy it is to program and how the lid locks for travel!

Optional:
Add drained corn to the mix! My kids love this addition.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.
Add corn chips for a crunch!
