Easy Valentine Treats

Velia and I made these delicious treats during one of our Wednesday night Facebook lives. They turned out better than either of us had expected! We made 3 different treats. We made Chocolate covered Oreo Pops, Chocolate dipped pretzel bites and Chocolate covered Graham Crackers. I purchased all materials for around $25 for these 3 delicious treats. I went to my favorite store, Aldi and bought Oreos (or as I would call them...FOreos because they are not Oreo brand). I bought a box of graham crackers and a bag of the small pretzels. You could also use pretzel rods as well. My Aldi has the best baking Aisle! They have huge bricks of melting chocolates (vanilla and milk chocolate) for under $3! I got the rest of my supplies off of Amazon. I purchased a melting pot for the chocolate but you can melt your chocolate in a microwavable bowl as well. I also bought some cute Valentine Sprinkles and some reusable plastic sticks for the Oreo pops!

Recipe #1: Oreo Pops

Ingredients:

-Oreo Cookies

-4" Lollipop Sticks

-Candy Melts/brick (vanilla & chocolate)

-Sprinkles

-Microwave-Safe Cups

-Parchment Paper

Instructions

1.Start by twisting and separating the Oreos into two halves. Melt a small amount of candy melts in 30-second increments, stirring after each. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted candy, and sandwich it between both halves of the Oreo. Allow the candy to cool and firm completely before moving on to the next step.

2. Fill a microwave-safe cup or bowl about 2/3 full of chocolate melts, and melt them in the microwave (again using 30-second increments and stirring afterward). I used the chocolate melting pot which worked great as well!

3.Dip the Oreo pop into the chocolate allowing it to completely cover the cookie, and then lay the cookie pop on a sheet of parchment paper to cool and firm up. Add sprinkles while the candy is still wet. Repeat the process for each additional flavor of chocolate. There you have it!! Yummy looking treats!

Recipe #2: Dipped Pretzel Bites

Ingredients:

-Bag of Pretzels or Pretzel Rods

-Chocolate Melts/brick

-Sprinkles

-Parchment paper

Directions:

1.Fill a microwave-safe cup or bowl about 2/3 full of chocolate, and melt them in the microwave (again using 30-second increments and stirring afterward). I used the chocolate melting pot which worked great as well!

2. Dip half of the pretzel in the chocolate and then lay on the parchment paper. Add some sprinkles and then let chocolate harden. Enjoy!

Recipe # 3: Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers

Ingredients:

-1 Box of Graham Crackers

-Melting Chocolate

-Sprinkles or any topping you'd like

-Parchment Paper

Instructions:

1. Break Graham Crackers in half

2. Fill a microwave-safe bowl about 2/3 full of chocolate, and melt them in the microwave (again using 30-second increments and stirring afterward). I used the chocolate melting pot which worked great as well!

3. Dip cracker in chocolate using tongs so that cracker is fully covered.

4. Lay chocolate covered cracker on parchment paper and sprinkle what ever toppings you want on the top! I used left over peppermint Bark that I crushed up and some crushed up Oreos along with some sprinkles. Let them harden and enjoy!

There you have it folks! Easy, yummy Valentine Day treats!! If I make these again I will probably individually wrap these in cute little bags and hand them out as gifts! Below are the links for the sprinkles & melting pot I bought off of amazon!
